Preferable documents
Depending on the country, acceptable documents may vary. Here's a short overview of the most preferable or most acceptable documents, depending on the country.
Below information refers to Business campaign/account type:
United States:
- CP 575 letter. It’s a notice from the Internal Revenue Service confirming that the business entity has been granted an EIN (Employee Identification Number)
- Filled W-9 form with a visible EIN
- Certificate of Existence
- Certificate of Good Standing
- Filing report from the state business registry
United Kingdom:
- Certificate of incorporation
- Confirmation statement (preferably, the newer the better)
Australia:
- Current company details extracted from ABN Lookup (https://abr.business.gov.au)
Canada:
- Extract from the state business registry (e.g. https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontario-business-registry for Ontario state)
Europe:
- Depending on the country, but overall it’s possible to download or order a company extract with the right date of issuance. The full list of European business registries can be found here: https://e-justice.europa.eu/106/EN/business_registers_in_eu_countries. Alternatively, documents from the tax chamber are also acceptable.
