Tester mode

The tester role can be assigned by the project's admin in two ways:

You can invite a new tester by providing their email address. Go to "Project Settings" -> "Testing" and click on the "invite a tester" button in the upper right:

You can also assign a tester role to an existing user. Go to "Users" -> "User List" and click on a user's name on the list. Scroll down to the PROJECT & CREATOR ROLES and click the pen symbol next to your project's name to edit it. Select the square in the Tester column and save:

The tester will receive an invitation email to collaborate on a project.

Click on the link provided in the email or go to the project's page on the Indiegogo site.

Open the client panel and choose "Enter test mode":

A pink bar at the top of the page indicates that you are in Test Mode. Click the "adjust preview" button to choose from the following options:

  • Project phase: Crowdfunding draft, Crowdfunding campaign, Late pledge, Pledge Manager
  • User groups: shows the view for a specific user group – the creator sees the view as a member of that group
  • Content visibility options: shows unpublished content

In Tester Mode, you can place orders in any stage of the project.

NOTE: During checkout, when selecting payment methods, no data needs to be provided because such an order is not sent to the payment operator, but is saved in the system.

To check test orders, go to the admin area. Then, navigate to "Orders" and add a filter named "Is test order". Set the filter to "yes".

Test orders can be checked for exports, shipping setup, etc.

Only one test order can be made per user. When changing the project phase, all test orders are deleted.

Existing orders can be copied to the Test Mode by clicking on the three dots next to the order and choosing "Copy in test mode" from the drop-down list:

To delete all test orders, go to "Project" -> "Settings" -> "Testing" and click the "clear test orders" button at the top right corner of the page.

After finishing testing, remember to quit the Tester Mode:
